Park Byung-chul is a Korean calligraphy artist. He has worked on a number of sign boards for Gwanghwamun, Gwanak-gu Office, Busan City Hall, Suwon City Hall, and Woori Bank. Much like hieroglyphics, Park visualizes Korean alphabets based on his thoughts and emotions on their meanings, shapes, sounds, and movements. Since 2015, he has held a number of workshops called “Hangeul Party” in Chicago, Minneapolis, New York, Alabama, Atlanta, Sao Paulo, and Ho Chi Minh. Working without a particular genre or form, Park continues to share the beauty of Hangeul with people around the world.
